This is a quick and easy pulao for a quick weekend dinner or a lazy weekend lunch,
With some cooling homemade yogurt raita, it’s comfort food for me!
Even my baby loved it as it’s mild and tasty.
Baby spinach leaves 1 cup
Cinnamon stick 1
Cardamon pods 2
Turmeric 1/2 tsp
Cumin pwdr 1 tsp
Coriander pwdr 1tsp
Basmati rice 11/2 cups
Water 3 cups
Blend the 3 vegetables in a food processor. Add oil to a pan, when hot, add cinnamon and cardamon pods. Add vegetable puree and sauté well. Add turmeric powder, cumin pwdr and coriander pwdr. Sauté another 5 mins.
Add water and rice. Cook covered till rice is done ,about 10-15 mins.
Serve hot with raita.
