This is such a fail proof recipe , easy and quick using items that are regular pantry ingredients.
Can be frosted or eaten as it is. And the best part, it’s egg free,butter less and vegan. No one will ever guess its vegan, just don’t tell them!!!

1 1/4 cups whole wheat flour
1 cup sugar
1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1 cup warm water
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/3 cup vegetable oil
1 tsp apple cider vinegar or white vinegar or lemon juice
1/2 cup sugar
4 tbsp margarine
2 tbsp almond/soy milk
2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
2 tsp vanilla extract
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
Mix together flour, cocoa, baking soda, and salt making sure it is really blended together.
Add the water, vanilla, oil, sugar and vinegar in a bowl.
Pour the wet ingredients into dry mixture and fold in. Bake at 180 C for 30 mins.
Non vegans don’t have to use almond or soy milk or margarine, you can use butter in place of the margarine, and whatever milk you prefer in place of the almond or soy.
I used 1 tsp of expresso coffee granules in the warm water to give it a deeper flavour.
Can use apple puree instead of oil to make it fat-free.
